There's room at the table.
Good food brings people together. Someone is chopping, someone is stirring, someone is sneaking a bite straight from the pan. The conversation keeps going, even though dinner isn't ready yet. That's how we like to think of the kitchen: a place where life happens.
1991 is for people who love food and want to cook their own way. For those who invite friends over for dinner, and those who make something good just for themselves. Either way, it's worth sitting down at the table.
Things for everyday cooking.
What matters most to us about kitchen tools is how they work in your hands. How they feel to hold, how they help you prepare ingredients, how easy they are to clean up after cooking. Materials, proportions and small details all have a job to do.
That's why we're building a kitchen around 1991 with things you want to reach for. A pan for dinner, a chopping board, containers for prepped ingredients. Each has its place and helps with something you do every day.
What are you cooking today?
We want 1991 to be there for a simple breakfast, your first try at a new recipe and a dinner that goes on late into the evening. The most interesting stories start when these things arrive in your kitchen.
